Ladies Only - 11/30/08

Ok ladies, it's time to get out on the road for a day of fun in the sun.

Leanin' Ladies who Lunch!
Sunday 11/30/08
Lakeside Restaurant
2709 E Main St, Madisonville, TX 77864

We'll be heading out to Madisonville for lunch. Lakeside has a luncheon buffet for $8.95 with the typical country fare and a dessert. It will likely include the standard fried chicken, green beans, etc., type stuff but they also have a regular menu that we can order from if we want to skip the buffet. Typical country food, overall. Dessert is one or two homemade things - pie, cobbler, cake - something sweet.

No men.
No men in drag.

Gents - If you'd like to meet us at the starting point to check our tire pressure, get us coffee/breakfast, clean our visors, or hold an umbrella over us to shade the sun you are more than welcome to see us off - but once we're rolling this is just the ladies.

Since this is a widespread invitation, there will be different starting points and rides to get to lunch. If you want to group up to ride there together keep your eyes on this thread for details as they are worked out. Post up your plans and see who wants to tag along!

Please wear your gear and keep the shiny side up!

See - we don't need no stinkin men getting months all confused
The ride is the weekend after Thanksgiving, so a chance to get away from family for half a day, get away from the leftover turkey and stuffing, etc.

I may just try this whole "womens ride" since it is a respectable rider leading.
Might be on the Vmax so I probably wont be wearing full leathers, we shall see.

Full leathers aren't required, but I'd like to at least see helmet, boots, gloves, jackets on ya ladies. After all, we're pretty sexy and we don't want to give any of that up if something were to go wrong

I always wear my gear on rides and as far as a respectable rider... from what I have seen you post on this board I am so inclined to believe so.

I wear full gear too, but I don't wear leather unless I'm on the track. I get by with a 2-pc Olympia touring suit that is mostly mesh but has CE armour. Waterproof boots, armoured gloves, and of course a full face helmet.

I'll try to get my communicator cord switched out before this - anyone else running FRS is welcome to sync up.

I just get a kick out of some people implying I'm some kind of pro tour leader when I'm just a rider that likes to get the group back home in one piece with as little "disruption of sanity" as possible. Yeah, I've led a bunch of rides and I've been on plenty of group rides. I learned from some great local ride leaders since before I even got a bike of my own.

Lets not try to start drama. Pam did not say that any other leader was not up to par, she was just stating that Squeaky is a respectable rider.
