i'd have to agree with omega. I am sure bell makes acceptable helmets but for that kind of money I would go with agv, soumy shoei etc...

I ONLY wear Shoei and Arai(Suomy doesn't fit me too well), but Bell used to be a top manufacturer. I'd read some reviews(if any are available yet) from people that already own that helmet and see what people are saying.

I have an Arai RX-7 Corsair and Shoei X-11. I prefer to wear the Arai, but the Shoei is MUCH more user friendly. The pads come out for cleaning a lot easier, and the sheild changing couldn't be mae more simple. The Arai is a bit more involved, but nothing TOO bad. My next helmet will be another RX-7, probably the Hopkins replica. Have you looked into the Suomy Spec-1R's? Like I said earlier, they just didn't seem to fit me too well, but they're GREAT helmets, and if ya like posing, have some of the most kickass designs.

LOL ,, posing.. i am loiking at those as well (shoei). I like the way they fit. Looked at the suomy and not really into them. I like the shoei and araie the best so far. They both fit well. I know what you mean on the shield change out on the 2 as well. something i might remember when purchasing. thanks man

i read somewhere that Bell was making real efforts to lose the cheap crappy helmet image, and that they would be coming out with nicer higher end stuff. webbikeworld.com has some reviews of Bell helmets (and lots more) and they are saying pretty good things about the latest stuff from bell...

you gota think the helmet that saved Evil Kenivle's life was a bell. they were, and have been making helmets longer then any other brand to my knowledge. they just went bankrupt and then started up again, much like Indian Motorcycles.

i trust em -- bell used to be bigtime for supercross and motocross up until the mcgrath days then they sorda faded away.. it's good to see them making a comeback with quality helmets.
