Weird incident last night

I was driving down champions forest last night after working on my brother in-law's dad's computer, it was right around 11 o'clock and I'm cruising through neighborhoods in the left lane and suddenly I pass a doe(A female dear!) laying down in the right hand lane (thankfully I wasn't going fast or even in the same lane as said deer).

Anyhow, I thought it was really strange that this deer was just lying in the street, so being the aminal lover that I am, I made a u-turn to go inspect the situation. Got back around and pulled up behind the deer about 10-20 feet away and started blinking my highbeam and honking my horn at which point it turned its head around and just kinda stared at me. So I started revving my engine and it finally hopped up onto its feet and I blinked and honked and revved and then it jumped back onto the curb/grass/median but wouldn't go anywhere else, just kinda stood theree.

Hopefully Bambi stayed off of the road after that.

sounds like it might have been injured...I too love animals, but you've got to be careful approaching a wild animal in the "city"...just never know what they might be carrying, especially if it's not trying to run away from you

i think the deer would have won.

It didn't look injured with the way it hopped back onto its feet when I spooked it. I think what happened is that it got out of some wooded area and over a fence, and once it realized it was in an urban neighborhood, decided to go back to the woods but couldn't get back over the fence so it just decided to lay in the street.

huhhuh, stupid gay deer

Our coach drove us to football games on the bus in high school. We were coming back from a road game late one friday night and he hit a deer a couple miles before we got to the high school.

When we got in our own cars later and left the field house we saw him down by the side of the road field dressing the deer to take home with him.

Did you know it's illegal to harvest road kill for consumption in TX? Who'da thought?
