As Jody mentioned none of that stuff (cept a headlight if you want to ride after dark) just a spark arrestor, though more than one occasion i've chatted with rangers out there when I had the open tip on my silencer & wasn't hasseled... shoot tho, I'd CYA.

A TX parks & wildlife sticker is required to ride there ($8.00/ yr, can be bought from Honda of Houston, Wildwest Honda & Cycle Shack in Conroe) & pay $5.00 at the trailhead (or get a year pass at ranger station for $25.00)

Thanks, thats for sure.

Next weekend looks perfect so far; temps in the mid 70's. Cherokee cp will be awsome if the rain forcast on thursday happens, SHNF likewise.

You can usually find them on ebay for under $100(S/A exhaust tip), make sure it's stamped...

Holy Jebus,
I did'nt realize how much of a work out running these things through the woods would be.
I can't hardly move this morning.
Of course, getting lost for 3-4 hours did'nt help either.
You can still see the kiss marks on the side of my truck from when I finally found the trail head.

Note to self:
Bring a good map or GPS next time out riding alone.

Nah, only google maps, but no gps reciever.
Had a compass on my watch, but it was hard to tell where I was because everything looked the same and the only signs on the trees(that I saw) were those red arrows.
Kind of a feeling running on reserve with the sun going down.

Thought I was gonna end up being this guy for the night:

What did you think of the trails out there? Sounds like you saw a good chunk of 'em.

Sounds like Cherokee may be the place this weekend... Come check it out it's much easier to find your way around there.

Counting down the days until I get my shoulder cut open... no bike shopping just yet. Debutting what to get first... a shifter cart, or a dirtbike

Very nice other than the occasional sand trap in the corners.
Aside from that, smooth sailing and lots a fun.
