Thumbs down D P S warning

just to let u folks know, especially THC,;ucan get a citation for not leaving a stop light in a timely manner. I got a warning yesterday @ old Humble road & main from DPS for taking not more than 3 seconds to leave the left turn signal light. I felt that I was only being cautious not to pull out before checking traffic but he pulled me over 2 blocks later & explained "profesionaly" in his words that I was stopped, parked, standing, too long. this is exactly how he worded his citation. I am going to blow this citation up to 8x10 & frame it. in 44 years of driving experience I have never gotten a ticket for being too slow on the gas. Ha Ha . O K ,done venting now.

Its sad, but they can find something wrong with your car or bike if they want to.

Such bs as lic plate dirty, tire too low thread, light bulbs not DOT approved etc.

Send a message via AIM to blends
go to court and tell the DA you were letting someone get through the intersection that was running a yellow or there was a big truck in your way and you were waiting for it to run a pick for you so you didn't get plowed down on your motorbike.

easy sleezy, dismissed just like that.

And everybody wonders why I wanted to build mini-stinger missile launchers with heat-seeking tips into hardbags last year.

Seriously, the cops are hyper-vigilant right now. Hopefully with the coming elections some of the old in the justice offices will get cleaned out with some more moderate folk.

So, did you get a warning or a citation? There's a difference...

Wow when I got arrested (By DPS) for a wheelie, I asked " Are you interested in HPD" He stated he would rather write tickets all day long than to put up with all the Drama in the City! I guess pulling off 2 slow from a light, dirty Lic plate, ECT.. they really dont have anything better to do with there time like arrest true CRIMINALS! JMHO!

Poor buddy- nobody read the part of your statement that said you got a warning. Glad you didn't get a ticket and I'm surprised that there is such a crime I would STILL refuse to pull out into traffic; my life is not worth getting a ticket over. You did the right thing and I don't think you'd have any trouble getting it thrown out.

Slow down when it's raining or snowing. It's the law; stupid law, yes, but the law none-the-less. And speed is one of those laws that I readily break daily.
