Motorcyclist dies in collision with car

Police say speed was a factor in a deadly motorcycle accident last night in northwest Harris County.

Officers say the rider was driving down Highway 249 near Courtland at 90 miles per hour when he slammed into a car. The rider died at the scene.

Emergency crews also took the driver of the car to the hospital with minor injuries.

More info from another source. RIP.

A 26-year-old Houston man died Monday night after his motorcycle struck a car in north Harris County.

Sheriff's accident investigator D. Soots said Jonathan Sample was eastbound at high speed in the 2400 block of Texas 249 when his motorcycle struck a car that was turning south onto Cordoba about 8:35 p.m.

Sample, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene, Soots said.

I'm really surprised that there are not more accidents like this one. Every day you can see guys on "crotch rockets" flying down the North Freeway, zipping in and out of traffic at well over the speed limit.

WTF..

What do you expect? That's what they see, that's what they are going to say.
