so i heard the I-10 HOV is gonna open again tomorrow, is this true? i wanna ride to work but its totally not worth it if i can't take the HOV. its around 30mi commute from katy to work (behind reliant). riding in cold is better than riding in the heat.

Diddo! 30 Miles of the beltway and westpark. All of my was fine except my Alpinestars thinsulate started feeling a little thin. Nothing a cup of hot coffee didn't fix, so it really isn't that bad. Its all about the layers!

When I left the house this morning it was 37 degrees. Of course, I only have to ride 11 miles. The ride home was great though.

I'll be riding tomorrow too, but it's not supposed to be as cold.

This morning wasn't as bad as I thought it would be; I wore my chaps and liner and a hoodie sweater and a tank top and a scarf- my right hand was cold, though, the left was under my thigh.

man I really didn't feel like riding in the morning, but by the afternoon I was crying for not takin the bike in Freeze warning for tonight I hear, so tomorrow is probably out for me too. The zipper on my leather jacket broke so I can't wear it, but I actually took it to an upholstry shop for them to put a zipper on it like on the Jeeps.

I was wondering, read someone say something about a scarf. Isn't that a hazard if you take a fall? Couldn't the be a small chance, tiny perhaps, that it could catch something and pull tight around your neck? To be honest, I don't even know how a scarf works, they always looked to ghey for me

If you think they look gay, then they probably do- on you. Guitarman has a cool head cover than covers his neck and chin, too- that would do the same job. I don't think the scarf is going to choke me- it's the least of my worries when I'm trying to stay warm.

^ you can go to any local harley shop and get a turtle neck, just a neck wormer, not a scarf!
