25.5 miles...It was a little cold, but I had 4 layers on. The only thing that sucked was all the air getting into my helmet and making my eyes water!

Explain more please Pyro. I don't have a long ride, but since I am new to riding I don't have but one set of gear either. I just backpacked the work clothes and wore layers under the gear. Wasn't too bad except where my jacket ends and helmet begins. Even with the little add on aero wing thingy under my helmet my chin got numb.

Well I wear a RF1000. But the best way to describe it is its like a turtleneck without the shirt. just pull it over your head onto your neck. it is quite long and bunches up around my neck and under my helmet. I had a little air coming in from the very tip of the chin piece of helmet but not near as much as without it. I think if I put the included chin wind guard on my helmet there should be no wind at all wearing both. Got the turtle fur yesterday at CG for @ $12. Now I just need to find a decent pair of winter gloves that aren't cumbersome yet are still nice and toasty.

About 50mi it sucked and I was an hour late. It usaly(sp) takes an hour but got stuck in traffic and it took 2 hours.

I wore a shirt, a long sleave and a neopren upper under my jacket with a scarf and my liner in the jacket. and two pairs of socks. I did ok.

wow, you guys make me feel tough...

i left my house just before sunrise with just a textile jacket (no liner) w/ a scarf for my neck, and my icon leg protectors under my dress pants. that part wasn't too bad. what sucked was my hands going numb about 5 min. into it b/c i'm still wearing my perf. leather summer gloves w/ just a liner... that is one thing i have to fix soon if i'm gonna keep riding.
