however, still faster than you (that's just sh*t talking, I have no idea) I should rephrase though....I'm done crashing. Getting smoother will increase my times WITHOUT pushing any limits I'm not already pushing.

You probably are faster than me. Heck, Clayton was keeping up with me on his stunter. Either he's superman, or I suck.

he's fast....especially on that poor ol F4i....we had an awesome session after lunch....diced it up back and forth. he'd pass me along with two or 3 others with late braking into a turn and then I'd return the favor. Needless to say, an instructor came over to "warn" us about our passing. I did see a couple "jersey riders" making more skeptical passes than we made throughout the day...that kinda ticked me off a little.

Track prepped GSXR-1000 - $$$$$

Having Larry ride your bike so you can see his line with the GPS timer - PRICELESS

Uh oh

I like to ride 85%, that extra 15% gets me into trouble. Either way, it's all about fun for me...I'd rather be slower and come away in one piece than be faster and risking tearing up my bike....it's the only one I got and I don't have plans or the means to replace it. I've been lucky, 2 crashes and no long/short term affects for the most part. I'm gonna try and keep it that way. although I do have some new "used" plastics and front rim....thanks again for those parts Clayton

It might stay that way for a little while then your going to start creeping into that 15%, trust me on that one. Thats when it starts getting fun coming into a corner so hard on the brakes you think your going to eat it then driving out and the rear is shaking its like boomquesha at the club on a friday.

Thats when it starts getting fun, atleast to me. I love riding on the edge.

Curt I followed you through there a few times and you are riding a very defensive line. The fast way through is to get to the outside before you make a LATE turn in, then a hard flop to the left and on the gas. You and a few others seem to get sucked down to the apex straight from the exit of the keyhole. Wnd it out and let the bike flow to the left side of the track before the bus stop. A lot farther than you would think.

Interesting information, Buck. I used to exit the key hole and use all the track to the right and then swing the bike all the way back to the left. As such the bike was always leaned and I couldn't (or wouldn't) get all the way into the throttle. Mr Whoopie followed me through there as did Larry and talked to me about not needing to use all the track. And then, a gentleman from MH sent me his G2X data and i saw his line through there.

I'm treating 9 as a throw away turn, just using it to get set up for 10 and the exit onto the back straight. I'll think about your recommendation and perhaps do a little of both, not use the track to the right but still swing the back back to the left to help my entrance into 10.
