Got the day off

So, today I got the day off at work today because I had a little accident in the morning. It was around 7 am on Grand Parkway and I-10, a car pulled from the far left lane to the far right lane, where I was, then braked real hard. So he cut me off, I reacted badly and braked hard also then went into a tank slapper. Next thing I know I'm flying in the air and saw sparks coming from my bike sliding. Luckily no broken bones, small road rash on my knees and on my hip and my right thumb and index finger are swollen up twice as big as my left ones. And I am sore as . The driver never stopped, had two ask if I need 911 but said I was fine. But other cars still drove in the lane I was in keeping me from turning the bike back around to push to the next street, finally some lady stopped behind me and put her hazards on to give me time to move my bike.

geez. I really hate people sometimes. I used to be so full of carefree joy with people ... until I moved to Houston. Its really easy to get negative. I feel like if something happens to me that I should expect to lay bleeding on the road for a few minutes till a normal decent person comes by. Its really really really really sad.

I'm sorry buddy.

i feel the same way dude. its like people down here just dont care about anyone. i used to be all happy go lucky in colorado and im slowly becoming all cynical and negative. i dont know if its houston specifically or just city life in general. whatever.

The bike is at Motorcycles Unlimited right now so I can't take pics. But a chunk of the handlebar came off and the clutch lever got bent. Bottom and top fairings are scratched and so is my exhaust to . My gear isn't torn all that bad but I wouldn't reuse them, I'll post up pics of the gear when I can.
