Lookin' for a new lid.

My Scorpion EXO-400 is coming up on two years old and its looking pretty beat up. Its been dropped a few times, the seals don't seal the visor the way they should, and it weighs a metric TON. I'm looking at all options, but can't afford a $$400+ helmet.

I was looking on webbikeworld.com and saw this one. Its a Caberg Trip, sold only in the UK, but I could order one easy enough.

http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motor...t/caberg-trip/

What do you guys think? Have any of you used any of the flipface helmets?

Britt

I have used a shuberth before. They are the top of the line modular helmet. I would not recommend them for the same reason I got rid of mine. If you do crash the likely hood of the front face coming off are somewhat high. I mean, they do flip up, and I buy a full face so that in the event of a incident I want the helmet to stay together.

I DID like the fact I could flip it up and get some breeze or speak clearly to a person at a light. IMO keep looking.

hmmm I don't know about that helmet

I do agree that scorpians are heavy as though, I have owned 2 myself.

I would keep an eye out for an Arai, shoei or Soumy on sale online or a shop. All three are light and very comfortable IMO and there are deals out there on them. I have an Arai and I swear by it, I got it for $400 onsale regularly priced at $550.
