Motorcycle buying 101

Obviously, the best place to SHOP for a used motorcycle is via internet or newspaper.

If I had 1 thing to say to a first time motorcycle buyer its DON'T BUY A BIKE WITH NO TITLE. So if your on craigslist or wherever and see a hella good deal, go cheack it out and if the seller says "well the title on the way" or any other excuse odds are your getting screwed. I say this from personal experience by watching friends buy bikes and never hear from the seller again.

No title in hand- NO DEAL.

And get full address and place of work from seller before you hand over a couple grand to a complete stranger

Naw, just a friend bought a bike the other day, I TOLD HIM NOT TO, and he can't get ahold of the guy or anything, he has no info but a phone number. That's 2 friends in 3 months that got bad deals. Next time I'm staying out of it, I try to help and nobody wants to hear it they just HAVE to have a motorcycle right now!
