Question scorpion exo1000 owners

heres the deal im a large in the 700 and below or whatever, i like the exo 1000 but the large seems kinda bit to tight, did any of you have a similar problem? did you have to go a size up on the exo1000 because of the cheek pumps and visor? i may just get the large and hope for the best, dont want to get an extra large and the thing just gets way looser over time , any suggestion? thnx

I personally would go for the slightly tighter fit. It will loosen over time. In my opinion it would be safer too.

good article. ... even though you aren't asking my opinion, i'll recommend the RF-1000 Shoei as the best all around must have helmet....

thanks for the article it seems that the exo ratin was excellent, the rf1000 is pretty noisy for a 400+ dollar helmet, theres alot of hype it seems with shoei, i hear alot of people say well its your head trust it with what you pay for, i fail to see how a helmet that cost 100 dollars more will protect me bettter than one thats 100 or more less,

I have the Exo700 size large. Falkryte borrowed it, and she said the pressure hit her at all the wrong points and within a small amount of time she had a headache really bad. That's a problem you could run into.

It was too tight around her temples. We're both used to pressure build up because our first helmets were cheap ones.

anyone can have a problem wit fitment on any helmet...its not as if there is such a thing as one size fits all. the size of your head helps some...but the shape is a big difference.

If i go by what Arai says I should wear I would be getting a Large from them, i tried a large on and i could not even fit it past my forehead. i tried on some hjc helmets and they do not fit me right at all.

just got to try em on to make sure they fit your head shape.

my exo 700 was just the slightest bit loose.... when i upgraded to the 1000 (in the same size), it was the slightest bit tight.... it has loosened up over time to fit just about perfect.
i love scorpion's helmets. my odd-shaped head fits comfortably, and the features can't be beat for the price. it's a tad bit heavy, but not a big deal.

I have a 700 and it's loosened up a good bit. I have no problems with pressure points and have enjoyed mine. I do have one thing to say about the under the chin skirt thing you can buy separately. I got one and it does cut down on noise, but it will cause the face shield to fog up if you are not moving much. Just keep that in mind if you plan to order one.

nah, it's not too bad. mine wasn't *uncomfortably* tight, just very snug. the way i look at it, being tight is better than being loose.
(that's what SHE said!)
