I think it would be a great idea to make a court appearance.

Count me in! Yall if we don't show and make a statement NO ONE ELSE WILL!! We've got to look out for each other as well as our kids who want to follow in our footsteps.
My son is 8 and he's only son I've got I have a duty to protect him. So therefore the court room needs to see us Dad's stand up and say enough is enough.

There was a story in a magazine a few years back, were a judge let a man go for killing a rider. The defendant said he didnt see him, and the judge said he could not see them (motorcyclists) either, and let him off. If you have not joined the AMA you need to. Its a wealth of information to chose who to elect as our lawmakers. Get involved, write your representative, congressman, etc. (Govenor Rick is Pro-Cyle, by the way). Lets all write them today, with regards to this unfortunate boy..

RIP- Man that sux, in my personal opinion if I had a son, or daughter, my kidz will not be allowed to have a street bike ( for a long as their in my house ) until they are at least 20....Man I feel for the parents. Raise your son for 17years for him to be taken out in less than 5 seconds by someone that tried to flee the scene, because most likely they weren't paying attention like they should...RIP little bro....

so sad.. actualy riding to school is one of the most dangerous times to ride, i personaly was surrounded by hung over, half asleep teenagers that just got their licenses, on a daily bases and multiple close calls for me. im down for a court appearance as well. RIP

I cannot believe he got off that easy. It is not right that you can kill someone and get off like that. I hate that.
