True, but the possibility is that the owner put in a later model Kawi slipper. You're right on the STM and Yoyodyne, both that I've ridden have the "click" in the lever.

But I will make sure, and will have to pop the cover (seems easiest). Riding it on the street without lights and unregistered is like waving a middle finger at the cops.
.
Sheesh if it has no lights or plates RUN!!! j/k sorta yea I am kidding..well..just tell the cops you were trying it out if they catch ya.

RIDE IT!

You def. have a great bike, and as a friend, I would not do this to you.

Should have made an offer...I would have worked with you as much as possible. Good luck with your new bike.

Can't say "we" didn't tell him Dirk!

I figger'd you'd give him a Ride Smart "brother inlaw" deal, but he didn't want to listen to me!

When I take off my oil fill plug I can look in with a flashlight and see part of my clutch. You can bring a flash light and try it? Most of the aftermarket STM's are that red anadodized finish, right? Just a thought? Unless you can borrow a borescope from somewhere and go in through the oil filler cap like that, too.

Hey Diggler, I am making an offer now. Would you sell your bike to me for $3500? Please let me know. I can go no higher than $3600. Thanks.
I will throw in my bb gun.

...already did that and did not work.
Was a good suggestion though. Riding was the ticket.

Anyways, I got the bike. Plastics need some TLC to make it shine but for the price I paid I think it was well worth it.

lol ... I knew that for him to sell the bike to me, he would have to give me an Ride Smart brother in Law discount, on top of another Ride Smart brother in law discount, and then shave off another grand from that. I consider such low balling embarrasing and would not stoop to that level, especially for a friend (I would have felt terrible if he was forced to sell at such low price). I would rather help him sell it at a price that is appropriate for such nice bike - like the price it is listed at (for sure worth that much).
