Flat Track in Highlands

I talked to a friend who i used to race motocross with this weekend and he has been tryin to get me to come out and try flat track racin with him. He then told me that He and his dad were going to be building a flat track at Highlands MX Park. Just throwin that info out there, don't know if anyone else knows or has heard about it. Not sure when it will be done but is supposed to be starting progress soon

some of the users on here follow the flat track series pretty seriously, hopefully they'll chime in and let us know. . .and possibly post the season schedule if there are any races left!!!!!

There is a small flat track already close to Highlands. It is the Huffman Raceway Park. It sits at the very end of the of Old Atascotia road (sp).

Highlands is pretty jam packed with the tracks it already has. Just where would they put such a track? Something would have to be redesigned there to fit.TJ.

I'm not sure of the details yet, was just told that the owner and my friends dad came to an agreement on it and they were gonna start to figure it out. I havn't been out to highlands in a long time but if it is still like it was when i raced, the only thing i could think of is if it was either right by the road in front of the night track or if they move the kiddy track and put it there. Just put it up here to see if maybe anyone else had some more info. But I think he is comming with me to the drag strip this weekend so i will talk to him bout it more

Jody that may be. I had Kevin (son) out there last summer running some of the classes prepping him for the pavement. Doug Day may have sold it.

Gsxr......keep us posted. As you may remember I ran the gates out there it seems forever.TJ.

Talked to him this weekend and he said they have already started dumping loads of dirt to build and it should be donbe some time in hte near future. He was guessing a month or two. The track will be kinda between the day and night tracks where the old kiddie track used to be.
