You're not always guaranteed a "good deal" buying used suspension stuff. By the time you revalve, respring, and freshen it up; you've lots of times gone over budget of a new piece.
If you're considering doing business with Patrick (I highly recommend), call him up and give him your budget. He'll surely get you the most bang for your buck.

look on forums.13x.com (wera board) and cmraracing.com's message board.

i went with penske shock and ak20's this time around....they are nice. love it just as much as my ohlins 25mm fork cartridges and ohlins shock that i had on my 600rr, and with a lower price tag!

for a used setup....you should be lookin to pay around $400-$500 for a penske double clicker, $700-900 for a penske triple clicker

ak20's with the forks usually go for about $8-900.

make sure you know what spring rating is in the forks and the rear shock. DO NOT go with "oh, i weigh 180lbs. and the guy i bought it from weighs the same"...because spring rating and valving also goes with what type of rider, and how hard they ride.

also keep in mind that ak20's brand new cost $1000 (not installed), penske double clicker costs $855, and the penske triple clicker costs $1195.

if you want to go with ohlins, give patrick at motorcycles unlimited a call, and he can give you some nice prices. Patrick and his crew did my ak20's and penske on my gsxr, racetech forks and ohlins shock on my sv650, and has also done my ohlins fork cartridges and ohlins shock on my previous 600rr. needless to say, i am extremely happy with Motorcycles Unlimited's service. they can install new stuff, or rebuild/refreshen used stuff. give them a shout 281-444-0545

I'd have to suggest Patrick as well. He has built all of my previous bikes.
