personally, I like riding with other folks....doing circle after circle with nobody to chase would be boring in my book, however, I would gladly try a guest day out if I ever got the invite LOL! See ya on the 1st Brandt!

I find that it's harder to go fast when you don't have other bikes to chase down. But it's great for trying different lines, working on body position, and like I was yesterday, trying to learn to blip the throttle right.

Because you are the only ones out there, people can hear your engine and tell EXACTLY what you are doing. So you get tips like "try not downshifting after the back straight and then catch 2 before diamonds edge" Or, "Try 5% more maintenance throttle through turn 1 or 17." or "Dude, you are blipping the out of your throttle, too much man!"

Kind of funny story...

So, my last session I wanted to ride a wheelie, I was the only one out there. So after diamonds egde, I clutch it up. By the time I got to the paddocks, some old dude walked up and starts giving me ! He says it aint cool unless you are draggin knee, then wheeling as you come out, then ride it over the curb, down the front straight and set it down just before turn in!"

Then the other guy comes and starting owning me.

Then here comes larry riding a wheelie on his bicycle, with me. All the while Curt is laughing at me for being puit in my place.

I was emabarassed and apologized. I wont do it again.

You missed the best line in the whole story.... the first guy comes up and says ", I thought the lady was out there on the bike. Out here we call that style girly" Guys pick it up on the throttle, over bumps, coming out of turns... but girls use the clutch. This goes on for 3 or 4 minutes... then another guy pulls up and what does he say??? "Heck, I thought the lady was out there on the bike...." They weren't seriously upset, but they both made their point and it was damned funny.

Total pwnage.
