The Greatest Track Day Ever!!!

MaxGs was nice enough to extend an invitation to come out to MSRH today, with his membership, and it was unbelievable!!!

He and I were the only bikes. Ever had MSRH to yourself? Unreal! It wasn't until after lunch that any cars decided to run, so for the first 1/2 day it was run 15 minutes, rest 10, run 10, rest 3, run 20, etc etc..... Basically whatever we wanted to do. Then when the 2 cars decided to run, it was top 1/2 of the hour, US, bottom 1/2, them.

It was an opportunity for me to apply everything TTD and Ride Smart had taught me. Got to chat with Larry Meyers for awhile, very cool dude, gave me some pointers on body position, talked dampners, suspension, tires, etc.

Saw a 1.6 million dollar ferrari. The one Eddie Griffith, the comedian wrecked. How in the do you wreck a 1.6 million dollar car????

1:49:70 was my best time. Couldn't get to the 1:48:60 I ran at the last TTD event. It is hard to go fast without someone faster to chase. Think I ran that chasing Curt.

I will let Curt chime in to tell you about his day. Should have pics of us with that car.

Bikes going to the garage tomorrow, getting new internals for the suspension, riding with LMS on Sunday. I have some peoples to kick on 11/1 (on that other site cocksuckers, yea, I am premabanned) And I am going to do it, or go down trying, guarangawddamnteed. And dont give me an ego lecture.

Anyway, HUGE thx Curt for inviting me out. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

It's the enzo. Very nice. I was too big to drive it, such a disappointment. Would have loved to put a few track miles on it. It's on ebay for 1.2. However, it was the wrecked car with 300K in damage. There is another at 1.29. Looks like the economy has knocked down the prices a bit. Let's put some money together and buy one. Woo hoo!

This is such a great time of year in Houston. Weather was perfect. Brandt is sickeningly fast on that little 600. After some begging, he let me ride it and he took the gixxer out. I can appreciate why y'all like the 600s. Engine spinning to almost 15K rpms, so darned light and tossable, factory brembo master cylinder with great brake feel and a throttle you don't have to be afraid to turn.

Brandt did well on my bike.... now he can't wait for his new suspension. He was polite enough not to pass me on it. ba ha ha ha.

A great day!!

I was probably talking about my front sprocket, I went 1 down on it. Patrick did pick up the front end of the bike to get the rake and trail where he wanted it. He explained it all to me, but half of it went over my head. I do know that the bike rode much better after those adjustments. We're now trying to get the bike dialed in for the BT003's. At least close to being back to the same times I ran with the 002's. Still a long way to go to get fast, however.
