Hats off to 2 of our MH racers...

Mr Whoopie - Allan Cambell
Irish - Garreth Speer

both of these guys upped their game and VOLUNTARILY requested to be bumped into the expert status. they left the ego and pride at home and did the right thing, instead of sandbagging the novice races....they decided to up their game and run with the experts. it takes a big man to humble themself and do such a thing.

my hats off to you guys for making the switch voluntarily....i'm sure you guys would've made the switch earlier in the season if you guys attended more races.

True - but at the same time you don't want to be a moving chicane or possibly get hurt for the "expert" experts.

I think both of the people mentioned in this thread are ready for it, but i'm hoping its not a trend that people start to follow that are not ready.

If your not running in the top 1-5, i don't think you should bump up voluntarily. Just my opinion. It'll happen, when it'll happen .

Besides would'nt there be more glory in winning the novice championship in one of your class(es) and then being bumped up?

If they are fast enough, they will make it through. If not, they will be at the end of the pack which is like prov-nov in novice.

These guys sure do have lap times to prove that they are worthy of the white plates.

To answer your question, YEAH. I wanna sandbag all the novice as much as the sanction allows me. The sad thing is that I am too slow.
