Money well spent.

Komodo makes top notch stuff, I'd trust them with my skin any day !

Wayne (the Komodo rep) is also a great and friendly guy.

The company that does the stichting and leather work for Sidis is the same company that does the work for Komodo. So I'd rank their boots very high.

Ask my team mate Fabian (PiPer on here) about his experience with AlpineStars.

I'd rank Sidi as No1, then Komodo - speaking from personal experience. Never owned anything else, and don't intend to.

Gloves are double stitched (like most top notch manufacturers), and I'm sure you've heard the saying - you get what you pay for. Your hands play a vital role in motorcycle riding/racing. I'd be careful about which brand to choose. Komodo has been around and crash tested enough times for me to buy their products.

I'm going to be trying their back protector next - it looks like the Dainese one, but seemed to be more comfortable, and more flexible.

I've crashed twice in mine and they really do offer great protection.

Wayne is the man!!! Thanks again for the generous gift Wayne. I was at the apex in T7 at TWS (Texas World Speedway) (we all know how fast that turn is) when another racer (who shall not be named) decided that the 18" between my knee and the apex was plenty of room to stuff his bike in there. Instead he T-boned me sending him to the asphault, his right peg into my left hip, and me and my bike halfway to Dallas in the run off area. I did keep it up. My bike has some NASCAR tire scars on the lower and case cover but the extra padding in the hip of my Komodo K-XP did absorb alot of the impact from the peg. Also, thanks to Moe for getting to us after the incident. Komodo makes a great product at a fair price with above and beyond service.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-

I was going to get the FX suit as well but after seeing it, it didn't offer the protection I think is necessary for us club racers at the tracks I ride on. Like Wayne said, if we (or I) was riding/racing on Road Atlanta or Barber often then the FX suits are fine for their extra flexibility and the fact that those tracks have smooth asphault and good run-off. The K-XP is like a suit of armour for track surfaces and run-off areas that CMRA/CCS runs on in TX & OK. Still, nice looking suit, I'm sure your are more than happy with it. Support Komodo and other trackside vendors as they support us.
