I don't think you can say "cheap" and "Desert Eagle" in the same sentence with any accuracy. Good luck though.

A grand or more is about right. I'm thinking $1200-$1500 for a .50. The .44 would be cool, though.

I wouldn't, necessarily, other than that it's a gimmick and I could say I had one. Kinda like I can say I have an AR-15. I like the styling of the the DE and would gladly take a .44.

They have the .44 @ the Bass pro shop in Katy Mills for under a grand.
I'd like to try the .50

If he has the money then I would hardly call it a waste. It's a showpiece more than anything. You're talking functionality with the Colt. Nice piece, indeed. I have an Hk USP .45 and is the best I could have, IMO.

bikes as investments..........lol, unless you own an jesse james or OCC, they're all loosing $ as it sits there.......

guns are good investments in that they hold their value, to a cetain degree, but generally they don't appreciate in value.......

my old roomie had an USP , nice gun, waste of $. i'll stick to stocks for investments and guns for self/home protection.......G27 for now, wifes when i get the 1911, and a mossberg for the house eventually.

I don't get how you think it's a waste of $$? I did a lot of research before I bought the USP as I wanted something good for defense and, more importantly, reliable. The testing they put the USP through is incredible and a good reason why the Navy Seals carry it.

does it shoot that much better then a glock, prolly not that you or i could notice.......

i'm not saying it's a bad gun, far from it, but is it worth $2-300 more then a glock, also very tried and tested........
