I always take it off....occasionally get cited for it, though.



OH...you were talking about pegs, not pants.

Nevermind.


I have thought about taking them off, but as soon as I do I will want to put someone on the back. I NEVER ride 2-up, but I would want to that one time RIGHT after the pegs were removed. It's GTs law. sorta like Murphy's law, but with less logic and a little more F'ed up.

your tool kit may not have the tools for it; but if you're in the area of 1960/i45 I work at BMW, we can take them off in a couple seconds. Bring a backpack or i can stash them here for a bit.

I took mine off as soon as I got my new RR. Cleans it up and keeps you out of trouble when the slimmies on westhiemer want a ride.

I doubt they protect anything, maybe just your ego when a fatty want a ride lol
