R1 vs GSX1000 vs CBR1000 vs ZX10

I just want opinions of people who have ridden more than just one of these bikes. Because If you have ridden only one then ur opinions is Biased. Please do not talk about 600cc or busa. I want only 1000cc bikes only stock no mods

Does Anyone have numbers or experience.

I would like to know which bikes do better in which category

1. Horsepower

2. Low end power

3. Top end power

4. Comfort

4. Stability at 120mph+ Speed

5. The most important ***twisty's***

I know it all depends on the rider and you can't possibly have it all in one bike . But I want to get a new bike and just want some opinions. I have ridden GSXR and ZX10's So just want to get sort of a review.

the 08 1000RR is the best bike I have ever ridden. Period. I'v ridden the Gsxr and it's fast but it's just not light enough for me for riding around every day on the street since I dont track yet I want something nimble to throw around.

I havent ridden the ZX-10 yet but I'm hoping bling king will wanna swap bikes for a ride sometime

Imagine a '07 CBR600RR with a turbocharger and you'll be in the ballpark. This bike is tiny, light, and agile, plus it packs serious open class power. Quote from that link he posted.

and for what it's worth in the "for the money" section asked which bike the testers would pick given the money two out of 4 picked the Honda with one going to the Ducati

Also, you can try www.sportrider.com they did theor own shootout in June 2008.
One of the parts that I like the most is in the final comments from Andrew trevit: "you can get all the objectvie data and at the end all comes down to the bike that makes the most sense to you".

1) ZX-10R
2) 1000RR
3) ZX-10R
4) Go sit on them but I liked my 1k more then the gsxr or 10 that iv' sat on but yeah. go sit on them
4)*you did 4 twice* only taken the 1000RR up to 172 and I could sit up and I didnt even have to tuck!
5) the new 1000RR is built lighter and that nose cone is engineered for nothing but turning in on corrners this bike handles better then my roomates 07 600RR

hope that helps.

http://www.motorcycle.com/manufactur...ide-71888.html

here's one more review of em with video.

"I came into this sessions already thrilled with the stellar new ZX-10R Kawasaki I rode last month in Qatar. To even rank in that league, the CBR needed to be something special. It is."

"It can now run with the big dogs at the track. But even more impressive from a seat-of-the-pants perspective is the bump in midrange power. The’07 bike was at or near the top of the pack in terms of twist below 9000 rpm, but this new CBR easily puts the old one on the trailer."

and my last and favorite quote and i'll get outa here

and my favorite quote

A total of 17 lbs has been trimmed from the old CBR. According to Honda, its new literbike weighs 17 to 35 lbs less than any of its ’07 rivals. At 435 lbs full of fuel, the new 1000RR is actually a full 10 lbs lighter than the 2003-04 CBR600.

I have to admit I do like the new 08 Hondas. They seem more nimble like the 05/06 gixxers are. I liked it alot better than the 06 07 fireblades. I would like to ride one on the track sometime that is the best test.

I had an 05 ZX10, rode a few R1s, and 929/954s. I havent ridden a new 1000RR yet, but it's near the top of my list for new bike prospects. I loved my Zx10, it had , but I like the Hondas better as an all around, nimble, comfortable street bike.

In conclusion....I want one of each!

If I had to pick one, I stay with Honda for now.

I have an 06 CBR1000RR stock ... the power seems smoother than the 06 ZX10. To me they handle about the same.

The ZX10 seemed to pull harder & have more .

The stock tires lacked on the CBR1000 and I put a new set of PP2CTs on and it made a huge difference.

If it were me buying one(will within the next year) it's either the 1000RR or the ZX-10R.

I've ridden the 08 10R, and it's a BEAST, still haven't played on a CBR though.
