Bike(s):
2004 GSXR 600

newbie

Hey!

I have been in the car game for a few years now and I am now looking to get a bike. I have never ridden a bike before so this is all new to me. I am going to take a learners course within the next 2 weeks and looking right now to buy a bike.

From the little that I know I am think I am looking for a 600cc bike which is what people have been recommening to me based on my size and that I am a girl (and know i need to be able to pick it up). Also sat on a honda cbr today and i think I liked it better than the GSXR. So if anyone has anything for sale or know of anything please post it up or pm it to me. Looking to keep it cheap (under $5000).

Thanks

Lauren

and on the same note as racer X, a 600cc supersport is not very noob friendly.

GL with the search...if you have any questions feel free to ask. I was the newbie not to long ago.
What kind of bike do you have?

What kind of bike do you have? Duh just read your avatar. I had the chance to sit on the gsxr and the cbr yesterday and found that i liked the way my legs tucked around the cbr tank a little more. Maybe it was just the 08's? Dont know if there is any difference. Also they said that there was only like a 5lb difference between that and the cbr. As far as being able to touch the ground and I almost 5'10 so thats not much of an issue.

Legendus whats pp? (yay I love monkeys too)

And Mre. T I would die to have your bike!!!! I love the pink! I have a silver and pink TransAm at one time I was not allowed to put a pink strip on the Viper though :(

pp = poser point, and pp1 = starbucks at 610 and westheimer.

do you really wanna spend $8k plus on your first bike? its gonna be devastating when it falls.

you go 'pose' with your bike for mad style points (all the cool kids are doing it). and pp1 is not exactly a 'meet', its more of a meeting spot. you can usually find a few bikes there at any given time. lots of bikes there on wednesday night, then theres ASI. if you wanna come to a meet we're having out in katy (I-10 and fry rd) you can check out the specifics in the events section. don't worry about the lingo, you'll pick it up soon enough
