I'm over on the North East side (Humble)... Steve and I are usually always down to ride we just need a little heads up so we can make sure we don't work late.

We don't mind driving, but we aren't going to head out to the far SW unless its for a show or something...

but feel free to shoot me a text anytime 936-718-TREE (8733)

+1, went down today in my neighborhood. Good think I had my helmet on cause it did hit the ground. I know this has been covered already BUT I don't know if I need a new helmet. I don't care about the cosmetics but has the integrity been compromised? I was going about 15 mph...
I also got some rash on my elbow, next time I'm wearing full gear!

BTW, I'm up for some PP4 action.

You will hear different thoughts on this, but if they disagree with me they are wrong.

Pull back the cushiony lining inside where the impact was. That should expose a styrofoam inner shell that's painted black.
If the paint is cracked most likely in concentric rings then that spot has been compromised. That styrofoam is the most important part of the helmet as it absorbs the energy of an impact. The hard outer shell is primarily to protect the styrofoam.
I'm guessing you will see very little or no damage. If there is some then YOU have to decide if it is severe enough to warrant spending the money to replace the helmet.
I wouldn't. Not for such a minor accident, I don't believe it will have hurt the helmet that bad. If on the other hand it rang your bell and you had blurred vision and a headache for 2 hours then that is a different story.
