Need carb help! ! ! !

Does anyone near South Houstn/ Pasadena/ League City have a set of carb synch gauges? I'm really trying to avoid buying a set right now since I just dumped $1500 in bike related gear over the last 10 days. However, my carbs are in BAD need of being synched! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

My wife says the same thing. I bought the bike for the mileage, AND I got a good deal on it. I only paid $1900 for it. I will buy the gauges if I HAVE to, but fornow, I just need to get it running a little smoother. It's still pretty fast for a '92 carb'd motor, but I'm tired of all the questions of "why does black smoke come out when you're getting into it hard?" It also makes it pretty rough off-idle.

id would get in touch with Keith H. aka RoadandTrack on here. if my memory serves me right, he used to race those dinosaurs. he seems to be very knowledgable on carbs and old like that. i personally gave up on carbs. too messy and a pain to jet. FI is where its at

My next bike will be newer/brand new. This was bought for immediate fuel economy when gas was around $4/gal (my truck gets 12.5 mpg). Actually, Mancuso Powersports in League City has a few brand new Katana 600s left over from, get this.....2004! They are going for around $4000/each. I considered picking up one of them after a few more subcontract jobs.

I have a professional manometer set that I use to sync the carbs on my 94 katana. Let me know if you need to borrow it. I am in pearland.

I actually work in Pearland off of 288 and West Orem. It's been close to 20 years since I synched carbs. Maybe I could bribe you into coming over and helping me one evening? I'll buy the beer or feed you or something. If you don't have time, that's cool. I'm sure I can make it through it, it's just been a while. Give me a call when you get a chance. My number is 281-541-6714. That's my corporate cell number. I have it on me 24/7.

Just buy one. I think the motion-pro ones are like $100 and they pay for themselves the first use; plus they can be used on just about all bikes with multiple throttle bodies, not just carbed bike.
