new bike

I was looking on craigslist and ran into this:

http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/877110819.html

He said he'll take 4800 for it. It has 14,000 miles. Is it worth it? It has some mods

If it is in excellent condition it is a steal.

yeah he said that it is in good shape.. It is the special edition with the red flames but it was painted black. He said the paint was prefessionally done and looks good. My main thing was the 14,000 mi.

My 06 had 13K miles on it before the storm surge hit it. Ran like brand new. Others on this forum with 05/06 636s hav 20K+ miles on them and they are running great.

At least you know it has not been sitting with oil changes for months and months at a time. However I would go over the maintenance with him to make sure it has been kept up.

Look around and you'll see them for 5K to almost 8K for "real world" prices in this area. Except for the odd overpriced 7999 bike most of them are in the 6K range. Which makes that one a deal.

I checked out that bike too Martin, pretty sweet looking set up! I'm off all day and wouldn't mind cruising to Humble to check it out. I brought my trailer back with me by the way.

Oh yeah and ask him if and how hard it went down...

Just asking as the bike was originally titanium with the red flames.

Badass keith thats a possibility if I get off early. Yea he said a chick had it before him and she dropped it but it the only damage was to the fairings and that was one of the reasons for painting it..

My 06 FZ6 has almost 30000 on it, but then it's a Yammi
