MSR-H Rider... Who is this?

This guy/girl ran advanced on Saturday at MSRH and I had a great time following them around. I never got a chance to find out who was riding. Any ideas?

I think that dude was pitted over there by Godzuki, BC and them. By the little 2 man tent. If I am not mistaken he ran intermediate for the first few sessions then moved up. Smooth and quick. I could be mistaken though.

Maxgs, Hey video quality is great! I stopped by with you for a split second on Saturday and was checking out your new exhaust, looks great. After watching the video I actually remember you passing me cause I know your bike (Good looking GSXR), Yeah and Dr. Jerren is Sick fast, makes passing so effortless. Not to perform “preverbal ” but I honestly have to thank Godsuki and Dr. Gonzo. Tim towed me arround out there on the track and pulled my times down by two seconds. Gonzo has the uncanny ability to explain expert riding techniques and riding theories, “Barney style” so even I can understand them. But, yeah, bet he lapped me twice in that vid, between frames. I had a great weekend and again learned so much. Maxgs thank you for the video, I’ll be looking at it to see where I can shave off a few more seconds. If you have any advise, please clue me in, and thanks again.

Looking at the video, you were consistently faster coming out of the turns. I seemed to gain on you under braking and carrying a little more speed at turn in and through mid-turn. While more practice will help all of us be faster, I have made a couple of changes that helped me with my braking.

First, working with the instructors, I learned to use my legs and torso to help me handle the high braking forces without disrupting the bike. After that, I went to a Brembo 19x18 master cylinder and, after experimenting, vesrha RJL brake pads. The difference was dramatic and enabled not only to brake later, but to better modulate for trail braking.

In terms of corner speed, I worked a lot with Motorcycles Unlimited on the ohlins suspension spring rates, valving, and installation. We had to try a couple of things in order to get it right. Then with Allan (Mr. Whoopie), Larry Myers, Radar, GixxerBill, Brandon at M.U., and a lot of other helpful people to make minor tweaks to the suspension (compression, rebound, preload, and front/rear ride height) to get a feel I was really comfortable with.

Late braking is something that I’m definitely going to have to work on! Gonzo is constantly preaching reference points to me, and I am trying to pick up on mine! And with more seat time I’ll be able to appreciate and use better quality suspension and brake components! I did upgrade my brake lines and Sunny hooked me up with some great pads! Now “stop” means “STOP RIGHT NOW” I love it and should be able to improve my later braking!

Again thank you for the video, and can’t wait to get out to the track again! See you out there!

The Motard was sick in corner entry speed, saw you back it in a few times , and was laughing in my helmet on the fron straight when you crossed up that huge whoolie!...That front wheel just floated!

Wow! Using the time on the vid, you ran a 1:52, then a 1:53 for 2 of those laps!
