People messing with the fuel reserve switch?

3 times in the last three weeks I have been riding home from school and my bike has "run out of gas" with only 15-20 miles on a full tank. All three times it turns out that someone had turned the gas source switch to reserve instead of normal. I park my bike in a motorcycle parking lot at school with 25-30 other bikes, but other than that it is garaged.

Does anybody else have a problem with people messing with their unattended bike like this?

I've had it happen before

On reserve it should run till the end of the tank, but you don't have that warning that you usually do where you can just click over to reserve and cruise to a gas station.

You should set a mouse trap right by the switch

My bike is pretty old and will only run for a few miles on reserve and then it sputters and dies even with 3/4 of a tank.

Put black grease all over the . How much do you use it anyways?

Be prepared to find that grease all over your seat though.

I'd recommend hiding in a bush and just whoopin' azz. People respond to that faster.

Run some electricity through it. Give them a little pop when they touch it next time.

My buddies would always do it to my other buds that had the older Kawasaki's. But it was just playing around. The bike would start sputtering after about a minute or so. It might just be that the vibrations from the bike is turning it off, if it is kinda loose. Just a thought. If not, do as the others say, just hang out near the bikes and see who it is. It might be some buddies of yours?
