Coming from a mechanic; you could try sockets or measure it w a venier caliper if you really needed too...

In all honesty, if you're looking to purchase the right size, and auto store should be cool w you trying different ones until you get the right one... if its accessable on the bike.

Or you can stop by if you're in my area an borrow the right size. If you bring the sprocket we have air tools.
