Glad it wasnt worse ... ive heard stories of blow outs going fast that you loose control of the bike quick!
Was it the front or rear tire?

2 weeks after i got my bike, i ran over a nail and had a blow out going slow too ... right down the street my house also!!! So i know how you feel! at least you didnt have to throw away a 2 week old tire! BTW, I wouldnt patch it up, i would just replace it! Call javi and tell him you need a "I GOT A NAIL IN MY TIRE DISCOUNT" on a new tire!

I'm not even sure when the blow out happened but I'm think it was when I went over the RR tracks on TC Jester. Since I was already on my street when I noticed it I just rode it super slow up to the house and yeah almost dropped it like 3 times trying to get it up the incline into the garage.
So come to find out...it was a nail. BOO!
Fixed...

Seriously, nails are everywhere because of Ike debris. Be careful out there.

FWIW - i wasnt trying to be an when I said this. It was brought to my attention that this could've been taken sarcastically, and I didnt mean it as such.

I was trying to say that it couldve been worse and that I am glad to see that this did not turn into a Rest in Peace thread

I've lost a tire at speed due to a football sized rock in the hill country. I kept riding and thought I bent up the forks and stuff the way the bike was handling. My group and myself included, was running out of gas and we couldn't risk stopping so I limped it in about 11 miles or so. Good times and that day lead to many great stories I'll never forget.
