Newb ?: PCIII and GSXR's 04-05'

I have a 04' gsxr motor with a power commander III in the srad. Im thinkin about tradin up to a 04-05 GSXR 750 and I have a few questions.

First: Can I use the PCIII on the 750 even though it was designed for a 600?

2nd. I set the PC back to the zero map today to see how it would act and it seems just fine. Can I assume that I can completely remove the PC and it run equally as well?

the 600 will be a track/girlfriend bike so it does still need to perform pretty well, although when the gf is on it the bike will have a throttle stop to keep her from getting in trouble.

You probably wont even notice if you pull it off. As for the rest I would wait for someone else to reply

What all is on the 600? If only an air filter and slip on, no worries. Full exhaust, keep it on.

As for the 750 PCMIII swap... compare part numbers for each model. The only difference will be the wiring coming out of the module.

Power commanders are model specific......ie 600, 750, 1000s all use different PCIIIs IIIRs or USBs. Different year models also require different power commanders. But you REALLY don't need a power commander at all anyway if all you have is a stock motor w/ a pipe/filter etc. It will run fine without it....Actually a power commander without a custom map is a complete waste of time/money anyway.

FYI my 1000 ran fine with a full Akro system and no PCIII, once I put the PCIII on it and dyno-tuned it, we only picked up 3hp at peak over the stock tune. We did pick up more power in the midrange and low end but I could have easily saved the $600(pciii and tune) and been happy with it.
