New Dual Sport Trip in the making...

Me and a friend who rode through Copper Canyon to Mazatlan and up Baja earlier this year are in the early stages of planning another one. We're already planning on riding to Mazatlan and back in March but now a friend is having a bachelor party in Vegas around the same time so we're trying to merge the two. Anyone ever ridden in this area? Copper Canyon and the ride from Durango to Mazatlan (Devil's Spine) are some of the most beautiful areas I've ever ridden.

Here's the route we're talking about.

PS, we're going to be on KLR650's.

I thought the riding was going to be just a way to get there but it's really the journey that makes it so much fun. I've taken 2 week long vacations pretty much every year for the past 3 years (only one on the bike) and it's just enough time to totally forget about work.
