I'd like to go, but I have to go by Motorcycles Unlimited to pick up some parts, and have my brakes looked at.

04 R1,

Just a word of caution, 3090 has gravel and sand on the road. I went yesterday and it began a little bit after richards grocery. The hwy dept was filling in the shoulders. Its looked like they swept most of it off but there are patches in spots that surprised me in a blind corner or two.

Unhappy

I took a stroll down 3090 alone for the first time this morning, good ride. I first meet a few riders as they were passing a truck and had to move over in my lane to get out of the way, then 1/4 mile from there came up on a gray scooter in the ditch. Poor guy said he was ran off the road by a pack of rockets. I helped him upright the scooter and dust his pride and bike off. I hope it was no one from this site, scooter or not someone damaged their ride and got scratched up because of a few dangerous riders.

The leader of this group I'd trust leading one of my rides... they are very respectable riders. I wasn't there but I hope the scooter rider wasn't injured.

I guess the roads were less to be desireable by all. Last I rode through was with another FG(ForestGnome) after the hurricane. We were completely clear and alone on the roads. She did go off on one corner but her head wasn't in it. so we cooled it down for a while... Those are some roads to not take likely. I've been a victim on my 600.

oh no, I hear ya... I hate to hear that type of thing too... Cuz one thing the moto community is known for is helping out complete strangers. Gotta love it.

BTW, the forest gnomes may start hitting up the forest more often like we use to every weekend for those whom wanna cruise or do the other set paces offered w the ride. Good peeps, all of them... and a great structured ride w the appropriate sweepers, leaders and pacers...
