KingCoopa...

did you take MSF? Got a license? What area of town are you in?

PM me... I'll give you an older gsxf600 to ride around a good parkinglot and see if that helps your decision. Its a katana, so it will be a little heavier and less power but you'll get a feeling you can base the otherones off of. Lemme know if you're interested.

Take MSF first... I had grandmas in my class... 2 of them.

No worries. The bikes you use are lightweight and the only people I've seen fail(cough, cough rsxtogsxr56) is cuz he was late to class.

I took MSF and had NEVER riden a Moto before. Class was easy and Fun. Plus, i had the second highest score in the class. So you will do fine.

Just take it first.

If you get a bike, you will end up learning and then never take it. and it teaches you life saving safety manuvers.

1. MSF and taking the written test

or

2. Have a bike, proof of registration/insurance and a way to get it to the DMV. Have a car w proof of registration and insurance and someone legit to drive it with their insurance. They follow you as you ride the bike. This is done AFTER you take the written test so you have a permit and can ride th roads within visual distance of a licensed rider over 25yrs old.
