See ya there.

Just FYI, though, I've never clocked anyone better than 168 mph there on the CMRA's gun on the 2.9 mile course.

You're limited to where you can go to spectate. The infield will get you fairly close to T3, T9 and T10, but the others are going to be a bit out of reach. T1 and T2 can be seen (sort of) if you make the trek accross the grasslands to the fence edge.

Best place for a spectator is the covered stands along pit road. You can see most of the track from here, but it's still a long way out there to the outfield part of the track. You can't see T5 through T7 from anywhere in the spectator area.

$15 Sunday for only. $20 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday or for Saturday and Sunday together.

Man, I dunno where you're gonna pitch your tent, but stay away from me when you do.

You'll be there early enough (Friday) that you should be able to get a garage space without much problem if you want one. No reason why you can't set up your tent right there.

TWS (Texas World Speedway) is very particular about who has track access as a photographer and where they can shoot from. I believe there are only three creditial vests available, and the staff photographer usually has one in reserve. There is also a track photographer, but I can never remember if he gets a CMRA vest or not. Normally you're behind the chainlink fence, which means you'll need a good zoom in the 300 focal length range to catch action pix at T3 or T9 that's really worth posting up.

Send a note to Nancy at nancy@cmraracing.com for clarification.

Hoping to be there on the 17th to ride and on Sunday to watch. Don't think my bike will be ready to get in my first prov. nov. race.

Alrova - Looks like I am leaving tomorrow, but should be back for that weekend before leaving again for a couple weeks. We should still be good on what we discussed as long as I can get the 17th off work.
