officially joined the club this morning ...

Some moron decided to merge infront of the car that I was behind, so she had to slam on her brakes and unfortunatly I couldn't stop in time. Happend just past the El Dorado exit on the 45 feeder northbound.

A little rash on the fairings and a sore sack ... but that's about it. The lady was really nice about it and people actually stopped to help me.

Oh well ... wear all your gear and be alert. I'm sure if I was paying more attention to the surrounding traffic and not just to the car directly in front of me I would have been better prepared to stop in time.

Could have been much worse. Gear worked but I think I'm gonna start wearing a cup too.

That merging lane onto the feeder north past El Dorado is a waiting death trap.

Myself and Cody Rules take it every day because we work in the small strip mall right there.

Though I usually turn into that first parking lot so I avoid the actual feeder if I can. Cant count how many times people just merge into a lane without looking.

Glad my horn works....Ive even kicked the side of a car door before.

I wear a Nolan N102 helmet, Vanson jacket, gloves, Sidi Vert airs and mesh overpants. Helmet got knocked ... the guy behind me said I caught some pretty good air ... I didn't end up too far away from the bike and there was no rolling or sliding involved.

Two ladies helped me to the side of the road while two other guys got my bike out of traffic.

Happend around 7:50ish ... a little stunned but other than that and the sore ball sack I'm fine.

glad you're okay, i always keep a large gap in front of cars and stay on the side of the lane just incase something like that happens, i can brake myself into a lane split.

glad to hear you are OK.

Happend just past the El Dorado exit on the 45 feeder northbound - this is a bad area for merging and activity.
