New to Houston from Chicago

I'm an SV guy who has raced for 3 years for CCS. Just completed my first year expert and ended up with 3rd places overall in Lightweight supersport for Great Plaines and Midwest Region. Finished 2nd overall for ASRA Team Challenge (National series).

My race sv is in central Illinois (I"m from Chicago) getting fresh skins installed/painted. The plan is to move it down hopefully before the next CMRA race in Oct. If not, Ill make the Nov. CCS race.

Living San Paloma condos on Eldgridge (West Houston) and looking for racers/trackday/motorcycle instructors to hang out with & for a place to keep/work on my bike(s). I'm also looking for an established endurance team looking for a solid/experienced/reliable rider.

I'll do track days and races near Houston and then resume the CCS MW series in the spring (1st race will probably be Topeka, KS end of April). I generally fly back to Chicago most weekends but will spend more time in Houston as the weather deteriorates (goes South is not appropriate) in Chicago . Summers are great but winters totally suck - I like snow/cold but there are no mountains to ski/snowboard.

I look forward to meeting many of you, helping out newbie racers/riders (particularly sv types) and some close competition.

stephen.

Why not? Is CCS folding overall or just giving up South Eastern Texas?

welcome! Come out to MSR Houston next weekend and meet your local trackheads and racers! I will be more than happy to introduce you around, and get you plugged into the scene and the best track day org. in town.

Pm me for info, or go to www.texastrackdays.com for directions. you can also check us out here in our sponsor section. Since you're from the mid west, I am sure you have ridden with our affiliate, Sportbike Track Time.

Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Tim

Thanks everyone for the warm (hot & steamy - Houston style) welcome. Look forward to meeting all of you. Will probably ride my SV1000 down leaving Chicago Sat. morning and hopefully rolling into the condo Sunday evening.
