Need help from someone with a Gen1 SV650 "S" owner

Need either picts or access to inspect the connectors that go into the back of the instrument gauge cluster.

Thanks!

YES PLEASE!!!! Here's the story ... I have a gen1 track bike that had no gauges, so I bought a gen 1 "S" gauge only to find out the the bike originally was a naked ... different gauge and different set of connectors ... lame ... I was then able to get a gen 1 "S" wire harness but can't seem to find the correct connector for the gauges and was wondering what it's supposed to look like ... thanks!

Why get the guages? My 2000 SV650 track bike only has a tach which I cant see. A lap timer will be more useful.

IIRC, the wires under the tank where the cluster plugs in to will all be the same color. The issue you'll likely run in to is that whomever tracked the bike probably got rid of the wiring.

May be more trouble than it's worth.

What's your plan for the bike? Keeping it track or trying to street it?

I plan on keeping it for the track ... I just like having a tach and the idiot lights.... neutral, oil and low fuel.

All those idiot lights are easy to wire up. We do it on our race bikes.

I see your point, but you may be better served selling that cluster and getting the nekkid cluster so things are easier to bolt up.

Haven't forgot about the picture, I didnt realize that you have to pull the fairing off to see the back of the gauges, and I haven't taken the SV apart before (unlike the TL, which has been down to frame and swingarm and back). I'll get you the picture as quick as I can though.

I don't know how hard these are to install, but they provide more data than an instrument cluster.

Anything that you can do is better than what I've been doing. Thanks a bunch.
