know your limits and becareful!

I was headed back to my apt around 10pm on wed night. I was coming i10-east and got on 610 south. I passed up this guy on a gsxr-600 doing about 75-80mph. Couple mins later he passes me and i follow him for a little and we ride together... I passed up my exit so i decided to take the i-45 north exit from 610 east. I get over to the right lane and he gets over too, and he was taking the 45 north exit also, but going a little too fast. he hit the right side of the exit ramp and bike falls over to the left so bike and rider slide for a about 15-20 ft. I pulled over and stopped and he was up already and was moving his bike off to the side of the highway. I make sure hes ok and help him out a little. Hes only been riding for couple months and this is his 1st bike and 1st accident.
Thank he was wearing gear. (helmet and jacket). which probably saved his skin and head. but he wasnt wearing gloves so hands were cut up...

His mom got there to pick him up and i left after that while he was waitting for a tow truck.

Bike seemed to have just plastics broken but also the shifter was broken. and oil leaked out (i guess casing broke?) and gas tank had cosmetic damage. (didnt know him so i didnt take any pics of the bike or damage)...

kinda scary seeing a rider go down infront of your own eyes.. glad he is okay thou and he seemed pretty cool when i talked to him.

for those of you that are beginners (like me) or even experienced riders, know your limits and dont push your luck. and dont buy a 600cc supersport bike as your 1st bike...

this is a side question but does anyone have any info on helmet cameras? i wanna get a helmet camera or camera that goes on the bike so i can record every time i ride.

i dont think it's about buying a 600 as a first bike, but more like what the thread title is, knowing you limits and being careful.

i mean, i crashed my 250 because i wasn't mentally ready for honea-egypt at full speed... riding beyond my limits within the first month of riding :(

glad to hear that he came out ok. how fast do you think he was exiting? just curious. i'd prolly ride extra careful after seeing someone go down, stupid nerves.

ride the track...it'll make worlds of difference in your confidence, cornering, and overall riding ability...not to be misconstrued as a catalyst to kill the streets
