NEED HELP ASAP!!!

ok this guy is selling a 06 gs500 for only 2k i talked him down to 1500 very easily but the fishy thing is he dont have to title but says its coming just waiting for the state but i was curious how long does it take to get the title.... but they dont have keys to the bike so how hard is it to get new keys for the bike also and how expensive.... i wont buy the bike without the title but 1500 for a 06 500 is a steal in my opinion

just tell him you've got the cash ready just as soon as he has keys and a title with a matching vin.

Im with ^^^^^

No keys
No Title

$1500

Sounds like a quick cash sale for a stolen bike. Go get the VIN off the bike and run it

Exactly. Be very aware and do some background checking with VIN#. Each precaution you take will keep you from being a scam victim.

I'm sure any police deptment might help on the VIN running(maybe)

As far as the keys If you do score the bike, get a new set up just in case the clown finds the keys and decides to come back when you're not around!

all the help you need has already been posted. check the status of the VIN to make sure his story is legit, don't just take his word for it.

You can call Sgt. Larry Pulliam Jr with the TXDPS Motor Vehicle Theft Division. If he isn't available I'm sure you can find someone to help.

btw - that bish sounds hotter than a $2 pistol playa and you'd want someone helping you get yours back vs. getting a "steal" of a deal (jacked up the quote from the original post "but 1500 for a 06 500 is a steal in my opinion")

I bought my bike on a BOS, because he did not have the Title in Hand. But he was a stand up guy and i had him sign all sorts of paperwork. 2 weeks later i recieved the Title.

There are good folks out there with these sorts of circumstances. but this sounds fishy.

exactly i could always make him sign a but load of papers and make a load of safety nets but it seems like to big a hassle maybe i should just get a loan and buy from a dealer but for my first bike i dont think it would b a good idea to get a fancy new bike.....
