oil leak

I developed a small oil leak tonight.. looks like it maybe around where the trans, and motor meet....
any thoughts...I no tech but could it be a seal between the motor and trans or another gasket.... it still runs I didnt get on it after I realized the oil leak was there so Im not sure if I have any powerloss as a result...

any thoughts?

Besides its a **** up...it started after I got on the throttle (hard) on a back road

PS this is an SV1000s 2007 model in question

dude its aggervatin enough..without someone blabbin out at the mouth...I fix my own ...I posted toget feedback from someone with something alittle more useful to say..

I like doing my own work..I can see how it might be easier to run to the dealer everytime something happens to their bike

I rather do a little research, and wrench alittle myself..but thanks for the useless you call a post.

PS I've looked this up and it seems alot of SV's have a problem with some clutch parts that causes leaks like the one I have...With the right tools this is a do it yourself fix..Im still going to have someone quailifed or with more tech exp to comfirm what is causing this

Hey Mark when you nail it down I'll help turn some wrenches. PM me for my number. We can even ride up to the Wal Mart parking lot to fix it.

well first I will take it up to Stubbs just to see if I about it enough what will happen...this oil leak wasn't due to rider error its the clutch rod...or something in and around that area ..from what I read,in some cases people only got the leak while wheelie'n

So like I said im going to gather all the info I found here on the net and show them many people hve this problem just like the clutch basket prolem with the SV..I have learned to live with the clutch basket noise but if its a factory defective part causing and oil leak on a 2007 model bike Im not livin with that.

Thanks alot I'll let you know
