Carbon Fiber??

Hey guys anybody know where I can get a custom carbon fiber fairing made???? My Bimota has a couple small cracks on the upper fairing, not too bad, but I would like a new one made, and since the parts are UNOBTAINABLE for this thing I was thinking maybe someone could build me a new piece, I know its asking for alot and maybe Im being a little about it since they are so small, but damit I want it perfect. so any ideas?? any help or direction would be appreciated, thanks everyone

Hi Ed, I talked to the 1 guy in the United Stated that I know who has one of these and he has the exact same cracks in his, appears to be a flaw in the way the mirrors mount utting a heavy load on the fairing in that exact spot, I actually suspected such, SO can U do this? lol

OPP racing handles a lot of CF stuff, my guess it will be very expensive to make if they make it.

Maybe just put a carbon fiber overlay on the outside and then reinforce the backside.
In other words repair the original.

Got pics?

Some good sugestions, I thought about the jb or epoxy and that may be what I have to do? Bikes like 636,s and such arent too hard to do this to because there are companies that allready make carbon parts for them just not real common, but this is literally 1 off, I like the overlay idea, can that be done, would they use it for like a mold or make it thicker with carbon on top? or how could this be done, any ideas who could do this?, thanks for Ur help guys

I just talked to Finishline composites, they said they could make it for me...

approx $1500 for the mold, and $500 for the 1 fairing, takes about 1 month, plus paintwork

Let me search for my links, you really should do this yourself. As mechanical as you are, I know you can do this easily.

A friend of mine from Cali was making his own carbon stuff and made a few vids on DIY molds/ bodywork.

You should see the sick SV parts he made. This guy is a pure artist!

He's from Socal, and he's very cool.

There's about 4 vids iirc, search for "Tygaboy" on Youtube.
