look up the stats for deaths and injuries on bikes... let him take a look
so he will notice that its not himself alone he needs to be worried about.
forbid if he where involved in a accident what about you and the rest of your family and how you, as a family would suffer.

Think the other busa guys should head over there in our full gear and go ride with him. When he realizes all of us wear, he will feel a little off, no?

I was just wondering, when you say he only has about 1500 miles on a shadow, do you mean he's ONLY ridden 1500 total on a motorcycle, ever? That's just not a good combination...

I think Mike has a great point. You can also look up Racer X's thread of the list of crashes so far this year. NOW THAT made me seriously think! (I always ride gear, though, so I'm good!) YouTube also has a great assortment of motorcycle crash videos.

Serious props to you for watching out for your stepdad...
BUT he is a grown man and can make (and later regret) his own unsafe decisions. My opinion, follow him around when you can just to give yourself some peace, then leave the man be....

+1000000000000 I don't even think he is supposed to be driving anything, much less riding...

If he is not going to listen to rational advice… Ask to be his beneficiary!!!

yessir, most people that have epileptic seizures have restrictions on when/what they can drive....if you want to try to scare him straight I think the site is ridetodie.com

no he never has had a seizure on a bike or in a car usually at night and yes only 1500 miles if that period ever. We both got bikes the same time I got a gs500 and he got the shadow and he never really rode too much. Then last weekend he went riding with some cruiser buddies of his and felt his bike was to slow. He just doesnt get the diference between a 1400 cruiser and a 1300 sportbike. maybe ill just go ride with him and try to help him learn

Tell him he's a fcukin for riding a motorcycle with an active seizure disorder...then tell him that you will call his dr. and the police if he doesn't wear the proper gear.

Really...he's putting other people's lives in danger. I think you should tell his doctor immediately so that he/she can take the necessary legal steps to preventing him from riding/driving.

It's INCREDIBLY selfish and irresponsible for him to be operating a motor vehicle.
