Looking for Endurance Riders - to Race in 2009

I am looking to put together an Endurance team for 2009. The team will be run in a firm but casual manner, with 4-5 team members including myself.

Everything will be split between the team mates, from the initial purchasing of the bike, to endurance fees for the actual events aswell. Everything will be split.

The objective of the team will not be to win in its class or even put down record breaking laptimes - but rather this team will be a "for fun and experience" team.

Once I have a team of 4-5 - every decision will be made by majority vote from within the team. Decisions can be as big as which bike to buy/race with for 2009, to even as little as which brand of oil to be used for the bike. Everything will be decided with the majority's vote.

Initial investment to buy the team bike and necessary team assets will probably be around $1500-1700 per team member (depending on the bike, and number of team members). There will be a designated "lead" person from the team - who'll act as team captain. There will also be a treasurer from the team - who'll be holding on to the excess cash (team's fund).

If I have'nt emphasised it enough, I'll say it again:

1) This team is a for "fun and experience" team.
2) Each member owns equal share in the team's assests.
3) Each member has equal weight in decision making for the team.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I currently have 2 serious members (including me) who have put down money. If your interested in something like this - please contact me via PM or email @ aghamurtaza87@hotmail.com or feel free to call me @ (832)275-8925. I still have 2-3 spots left. It would be nice if we had a team before Texas World Speedway (Oct 18-19).

Currently I'm just asking for you to have the following:

1) CMRA License - or in the process of getting it before 1st race of 2009.
2) Have the committment and mindframe to be a team member.
3) Have the financial backing - $1500-1700 initial investment. PM me if you'd like for me to save you a spot if you don't have immediate cash.

There is really no deadline, but I'm looking to know before Texas World Speedway (Oct 18-19) as it being the end of the season alot of bikes, team equipment come up for sale then.

Endurance racing is the best way to gain experience and have fun doing it. Ask anyone

it looks good except the majority thing

our team's got a fairly good record doin' the endurance thing.
we try to work very hard to get everyone to agree with each other 100%.
we only vote on something as a last resort.
plan on being flexible and altruistic.
not tellin' just talkin'..............

oh yea,
gabe just got a sweet 08 gixxer 600 with very low miles.
i think it only had 5 miles on it.
it would make a sweet endurance or sprint bike.
and i also noticed that patrick had some ready-to-go svs available.
i saw them on the Motorcycles Unlimited site this morning.

Go for it guys! This year's endurance season has been fantastic!

If you don't learn to camp at the track...you are missing out. Racers/families/kids all gathered round tellin lies! It's been great hanging out with you guys! Look forward to meeting the rest of you.

I wondered what happened to the #60 bike. Get it back out there!!

Well the #60 bike will be back to race one last time at Texas World Speedway.

The team members all have different priorities - as we're all in different stages of our lives. Some will be quitting, some will be sprint racing, some will continue to endurance race.

It was really good and we're all going to leave with great friends. Just like you said Endurance racing is the best way to make friends and get all homey homey without being gay...

By the way - 2 spots are left. PM me for more details if anyone is interested.

Moe, keep in mind that prov novs arent allowed in the big bike endurance. If they dont have their license by now they may miss the first round or two.

Unforunatley I can't guarantee that. The team will be however in either SuperStock "C" or SuperStock "D". Which one is upto the final 4-5 team mates to decide.

Still have room for 1, maybe 2 team mates.

Keep the PMs coming
