anybody fish?

seems theres been some good reports from san luis up to high island... lotsa bullreds in the steadily decreasing temperatures of the gulf... seems theres been a couple good size sharks caught as well... in high island an 8.5 ft. bull shark was caught early this morning. also their have been 2 nice sized tarpon caught off dirty pelican peir... thats a little weird tho, dunno why da tarpon are in so close this time of year.

ive been catching alot of trout near intercoastal, and san-bernard, maybe ill go out there sunday, seeing as its good temperature to keep the mosquitos away.

can usually catch macks w/ live shrimp under a cork... for the tarpon i have caught them on a penn 6/0 kayaked maybe 400yds from the peir, bait was a live 6" sand trout, on a homemade leader.

your right something is going in the waters this year... the specks stayed from like april all the way till late sept. it was crazy.. and im not talking about the the specks that are barely keepers either... im talkin 25" to 35" inch trout... I just hope that the red fish season is good this year... I havent had a chance to get out there and get my line in the water... but i will get my chance to light the fire on the beach and get some lines out.... in the beginning of the summer we were like the 2nd or 3rd to catch and release a tarpon this year... he weighed in at about 125lbs. and about 6 feet long we caught him about 3 miles out on a shad under a balloon. that same day i caught a jack crevelle that came in about 30lbs. stupid fish i got his on a bright green curly tail... we were sight casting for triple tail on the edge of a weed bed about 4 miles offshore.. but instead of the tripletail i hooked that powerhouse and he drug us all over ... good day... good day...

Judging by the fact you're posting... does that mean you escaped jail time or did I miss something?

fished from 10pm-3pm saturday night thru sunday morning. we eneded up catching 50 trout, couple specks, mostly sandies!
ended up with 3 freezer bags full of fish!.. i smell a fish fry coming soon....
i also got about 50lbs. of shark meat in the freezer!
