Highsided

So last night I decided to ride to midtown. I made a stop on a traffic light that was out. When I took off, the rear tire lost traction and threw me off. (Came to find out I was on a oil spot). Landed on my lower back and rolled a good 15-20 ft. Minor scratches to the bike, but I did notice that one of my swingarm spools snapped off. The threaded end is still in the swingarm! How would I get it out?

Thanks.

Go to auto zone and get an ez out. It threads into the screw then you back it out. It's a pain but can be done.

The Metro bus incident was also due to oil, I just got lucky & managed to hold onto the bike & avoid the bus. Jackass looked right at me as I was slipping & sliding all over the place & aimed the bus right at me & sped up...I was like "FCCCKKKK!!!" then the tires finally found traction.
exactly what I said before I went off. Metro buses are no joke. Thank you didnt go down.

I actually landed in front of a wine bar. A nurse and a doctor came running to my aid. EMS and HPD came and did their thing. What's worse is I was going to sale the bike this coming weekend.

Sorry to hear you went down. I'm glad you're okay. Doesn't sound like too much damage.

yea the bike is ok. Just minor scratches. and of course the swingarm spool piece being stuck IN the swingarm. Frame slider did its job extremely well nonetheless.

I'm still up for rides!
