This would have been way worse if they were cats instead of dogs.

that may be, but then is it worth endangering 2 lives to save 1?
In my opinion, no.

But I have done some pretty idiotic things for animals. But running into freeway traffic is a bit over the line.

We have some crazy animal lover at the apartments where I live. The management lays out traps to catch racoons who like to get into the building crawlspaces.

This crazy lady goes out there and checks them to make sure no racoons are caught and if they are, she lets them go.

I wish one of those racoons would bite her .

BTW: I do so love these so called animal lovers who are all about saving animals life, but wont hesitate to smack mosquitoes and put out fly catchers. I guess as long as the life youre saving is 'cute', right?

RIP to the animal lover.

I stop and help on streets and quiet roads, but never on the freeway. There has to be a line.

Bugs don't count. My favorite is the animal lover who wears leather, but condemns fur-wearers.

Animal lover here too - but regardless of the intent, you don't walk across a freeway on foot. That endangers many lives at the same time, is illegal, and totally stupid.

They had to put chain link fencing across both sides of BW8 over between Westpark and 59 to keep people from crossing it to get to the grocery store! People were getting killed there all the time!

Really doesn't matter if it's dogs or a person... how can you help even a person if you get killed in the process? I'm not trying to be mean, but if that person had survived, they would need to be charged something....

That said, it's very sad for her, and for the M/C - I'm glad it wasn't worse! Good heart, bad decision.

RIP

Sorry, but if it was a human, I would have risked my life to save them. Theres no way I can see someone hurt and possibly dying without me doing something to help.

If it was reversed I would appreciate the same. To me, that's an honorable death. BUT....if it was a human, I would have called an ambulance.

Also factors in to the situation...

Would you throw yourself on a grenade to save your friends? KNOWING you would die in the process?

I feel sorry for the biker but not someone who gets someone else hurt and maybe killed for some animals.
I'm with you.

People getting hit when trying to cross the freeway happens more often than people think. Too often in fact. I've seen a lot of auto - pedestrian accidents and human judgment is often trumped by a 4k lb vehicle. And it getting hit by a car is not the best way to go out, its not a pretty sight. A guy in my office wrote a dead guy a ticket for failing to yield right of way and tried to turned it in with the dead guys personal belongings, the Med examiner wouldn't let him put it it the property bag. :(

Out of curiosity, who would have paid the dead guys ticket?
