no names.... female rider was on a cruiser. bike didn't look that bad so I would assume female is ok. pedestrian was a out of town worker that was trying to get to 3 dogs on the inside breakdown lane of freeway.

Oh my goodness that's horrible to hear. I'm at a loss for words for both that were involved. I hope she gets better.

I'm sorry but am I the only one who thinks the person running across the freeway is a complete moron?

I feel sorry for the biker but not someone who gets someone else hurt and maybe killed for some animals.

What? would you want your brother or father or anyone else thats in your family crashing on the freeway because someone had to save a dog?

I'm the first to admit im an animal lover I have 3 cats two fish tanks and a dog but I'd let any of them die, "let alone just stay in the road till it's safe" to save the life of my family.

Running across a freeway is not smart, but it was a deed in good faith.
Some people put their lives in danger to help and when they succeed, they are called heroes. This time the guy did not succeed but let's not tarnish his name. Someone lost their life and I'm sure there's a family that misses him.

I am glad to hear the biker is doing ok.

My best friend's wife is like this. She doesn't think rationally in these situations, with her deephearted love for animals. The only thing going through her head when she sees a dog in the middle of the road is that it's gonna get hit by a car, and she's got to save it. I'm sure she tries to stay alert to the other cars, but I can see so many distractions that can cause her to not pay attention to her own safety, and put herself or others in danger. She's a wonderful person nevertheless, and one of the most friendly people you will ever meet.

I'm with Helios on this one. Furthermore, we all know motorcyclists are invisible, when you're looking out for cagers. Couple that with trying to rescue a dog darting in and out of traffic, and...

RIP.

that may be, but then is it worth endangering 2 lives to save 1? that gamble yielded 1 dead, another injured, and no information on what happened to the dog(s). they certainly weren't "saved" by this action. i just don't get why people do things like this sometimes
